Independence

"I think people forget that independence isn’t necessarily a bad thing. People seem to hate thinking of life on their own and so they find themselves clinging onto someone that may not always be right for them at the end. I think the bigger issue here is that people grow comfortable with something, comfortable with themselves and their lives that they are terrified of change, but things always change.

Change is unstoppable and most changes are beyond our hands. We change and adapt to our surroundings. We grow from those little kids we once were to the mature adults with aspirations tight between our grip. In life we meet so many people; people come and people go. It’s the same with relationships; some will work and those will just be impossible to fix. There is no need to cling onto comfortability when change is inevitable - for better or for worse. Your identity doesn’t lay between the arms of another."
